Welcome to Teksyn.net, a personal blog dedicated to sharing guides, tips, and insights on a variety of topics. Launched in January 2024, this site aims to be your go-to resource for helpful and informative content. Initally the thought would be to document the things I found interesting, or had a challenge with myself and if someone stumbles across the information in the process, then hopefully it helps them to.

Who I am

I am a technology enthusiast who dabbles in a little bit of everything. I run my own home lab for testing, engage in research and development, and generally love making things easier for myself and others. My journey began with learning Windows operating systems, which expanded into servers and networks. From there, I ventured into Windows application development using Visual Basic, progressing to VB.NET, and then C#. Along the way, I’ve explored other languages including Node.js, JavaScript, Erlang, and Delphi.

Currently, I operate my own private cloud of services and experiment with cloud engineering and integrations. My goal is to achieve the same level of uptime and performance as enterprise cloud providers. Through these endeavors, I continually strive to innovate and enhance the technology landscape, making complex systems more accessible and efficient.

I am also mechanically inclined where I started my career doing Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Electrical and Plumbing. I also have spent the last 20 years doing building automation and controls.

I do CAD design and modeling for functional parts using 3d printing. When plastic doesn’t work I also like to spend time doing some amateur metal working and don’t do too bad with a welder when needed.

I’m a amateur radio operator as well currently licensed as a General, and dabble in this hobby as well.

I refer to myself of a jack-of-all-trades, and a master of many.
